Gruppo Corale Les Hirondelles

The story of the "Swallows" (Hirondelles) begins on December 1974 on the hills surrounding the city of Aosta. In the small villages of Arpuilles and Excenex some youngsters gathered together and decided to found a group in order to sing the popular Valle d'Aosta songs. So, on the 16th December 1974, the Corale was officially born and, since the very beginning, the direction was given to Prof. Enrico Mosconi who, 32 years later, is still in charge with the same passion and enthusiasm. The group gains immediately success in all the events it participates in and, above all, gets several awards in the annual "Choir Contest" (Floralies Vocals) where it is very often selected, by a jury, as one of the choirs entitled to represent Valle d'Aosta in Italy and also abroad. Moreover the Corale participates in several events in Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany and Spain. Finally, last but not least, the group has also a small band that, with accordion, saxophone and fleyes, gives an extra value, in terms of enthusiasm and folklore, to its concerts.
